Photoshoot days: good to know
I've never done a photoshoot. Is that OK?
Absolutely, most people haven't. I guide you through poses and angles the whole time, and we start somewhere quiet so you can relax into it.
Who takes the photos?
I do. I'm a makeup artist and photographer, and I shoot on a professional Sony Alpha 7 IV, so the makeup is designed for the camera and I can touch it up between shots.
What should I wear?
Whatever feels most like you. Two or three outfits work well for the longer packs. Solid colours and soft textures photograph beautifully; I'm happy to look at options with you before the day.
What happens if it rains?
London weather is part of the deal. Light rain can look lovely with an umbrella or under arches; if it's really bad we'll move to a covered spot or rearrange the date.
Can I post the photos on Instagram and TikTok?
Yes. Personal use, including your social media, is included. If you need the photos for paid brand work or advertising, tell me and we'll agree usage.
Do I need a permit for the location?
Some places, like the Royal Parks and private estates, have rules for professional photography. I suggest spots that work for personal shoots and check anything unusual before the day.
Can a friend come along?
Of course, and a friend can be very helpful for holding bags and keeping you laughing. If they want makeup and photos too, ask for a duo quote.
